 , it's only fair to assume that one of the most important things is also location, location, location. But instead of the location of a home, we're talking about the location of your position within the industry. So let's look at the high and low points of real estate careers. Where can you end up and what's the view like from the top?

Who's at the Top?
That would be the chief real estate executive. Sometimes called the chief real estate officer, top real estate executive, or the VP of real estate, he or she plans and directs almost all aspects of an organization's real estate activities. From land and building acquisitions to nailing down site locations, a chief real estate executive not only has to be familiar with a variety of real estate concepts and practices, he or she must be well-versed in almost every procedure.

Of course this knowledge of real estate careeers only comes with experience. Executives in real estate careers has to have undergone training at a real estate school. After attending a real estate agent school to earn a bachelor's degree, individuals must use their skills, as well as their judgment to plan and accomplish goals throughout their real estate careers. But keep in mind, chief real estate executives typically have to work at least 15 years in the field before fully earning the title.

But the rewards are well worth in real estate careers, with chief real estate executives earning as high as $301,284 and as low as $92,048.

The View from the Bottom's Not Too Shabby
Real estate clerks, although the entry level of real estate careers, don't have it rough. Hey, you've got to start somewhere if you want to break into real estate careers. Whether it be a degree from a real estate school or experience, you'll need to have all your bases covered if you're gunning for a competitive real estate agent career.

While real estate clerks only require a high school diploma and 0-2 years of experience in the real estate industry, it's advised that he or she attend a reputable real estate agent school if he or she is going to want to be promoted. A real estate clerk must have knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in real estate.

Since many of these tasks rely on instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform on the job, a real estate clerk works under immediate supervision and reports to a manager on a daily basis. Earnings for this position can be as high as $32,448.

From bottom to top, real estate careers can put you in the professional "home" of your dreams.
